Understand
We start with the problem, not the job description. What is this hire meant to change, what has been tried, and why is the role genuinely hard to fill? The brief we build is about outcomes, not keywords.
How We Work
Difficult hiring problems need more context, not more CVs. We start with the problem you are actually solving, map the real market of people who have solved it, and stay engaged until the right person has joined.
Why I started SkillTude
I wanted to build the recruitment partner I was always looking for.
Having worked in-house with R&D and technology product companies, I saw the same hiring problem repeatedly: the challenge was rarely getting resumes. It was finding the right people.
Hiring teams were often flooded with profiles that looked good on paper but did not match the actual requirement, while interview panels had limited time and little patience for irrelevant submissions. At the same time, the people with the right experience were often passive candidates working with specialised and constantly evolving technology stacks.
I spent years looking for a recruitment partner that understood these realities — one that researched before searching, valued relevance over volume, understood technology and respected the hiring team's time. After experimenting with recruitment consulting and freelance hiring, I eventually started SkillTude with a simple idea: work like an extension of the client's in-house recruitment team, not another resume supplier.
What guides us
They are not slogans. Each one changes a specific decision in how we run a mandate.
We understand the problem before we describe the person.
A short, considered shortlist beats a long, generic one.
We calibrate expectations before your team spends time.
We stay close through notice periods and joining.
We work as an extension of your team, not a CV pipe.
The engagement model
From first conversation to successful joining. Each stage feeds the next — skip the early ones and the later ones get harder.
We start with the problem, not the job description. What is this hire meant to change, what has been tried, and why is the role genuinely hard to fill? The brief we build is about outcomes, not keywords.
We translate that understanding into a clear, honest specification — the must-haves, the trade-offs, and the signals that actually predict success in your environment. Ambiguity here is what wastes weeks later.
We map the real market of people who have solved this problem, not just those who are openly looking. This is where a specialist search earns its place: knowing where the relevant talent sits before any outreach begins.
We engage relevant people directly and personally, including those who are not on the market. Every approach is specific to the role and the individual — no mass messaging, no spray-and-pray.
We assess for context and fit before anything reaches your inbox — depth over surface keyword matches, motivation, and the way someone thinks about the kind of problems you are hiring them to own.
We calibrate expectations on both sides — scope, level, compensation and timing — before interviews begin. Alignment early is what prevents strong processes from collapsing at the offer stage.
We manage the process actively: coordinated interviews, honest feedback in both directions, and a clear read on where each candidate really stands. Fewer surprises, better decisions.
Our work does not end at the signature. We stay engaged through notice periods, counter-offers and onboarding, because acceptance is only meaningful if the person actually joins and stays.
Candidate engagement & joining assurance
The goal isn't just offer acceptance. It's successful joining.
A signed offer is a milestone, not the finish line. Between acceptance and day one sit notice periods, counter-offers, competing processes and second thoughts — the stage where too many hard-won hires quietly slip away.
We stay engaged through all of it. We keep candidates warm and honest, surface wobble early, and help both sides navigate the run-up to joining. The measure that matters to us is not acceptance rate — it is the person walking in on day one and staying.
Notice period
Active contact, not silence
Counter-offers
Anticipated and worked through
Onboarding
Support past day one
On technology
Technology improves the search. Judgement drives the decision.
We use good tooling to map markets faster and stay organised across a search. It never decides who is right for your team. Every shortlist is the product of human judgement, real conversations and specialist context — the parts that cannot be automated.
Common questions
If your question is not here, start a conversation and we will answer it directly.
We support specialist engineering, software and product, data and AI, cloud and DevOps, and technology leadership searches. The focus is on roles where relevance, market knowledge and careful evaluation matter more than profile volume.
Yes. SkillTude supports technology hiring across India, including Bengaluru and other major technology hubs. We can also support companies building or expanding engineering teams in India.
We start with the business problem and map the relevant talent market before outreach. For confidential searches, we keep the mandate and candidate conversations appropriately controlled and only disclose information that is needed at each stage.
The process is designed around relevance rather than volume. We research the market, engage people personally, evaluate context and motivation, and present a focused shortlist so the hiring team spends its time on meaningful conversations.
We stay involved throughout the process, including interview coordination, feedback, expectation alignment, offer discussions and the notice period. The objective is successful joining, not simply offer acceptance.
We can operate as an extension of an existing in-house recruitment team, taking ownership of selected difficult searches while keeping the internal team informed and aligned throughout the process.
Start with a conversation about the role, team and hiring problem. We will understand the context first and tell you honestly how we would approach the search.
